Who we are
Loop is operated by Yulo Labs LLC, a company registered in Nigeria. We're responsible for the personal data described in this policy. It applies to creators, to anyone who joins the waitlist, and to members wherever they live.
What we collect
- Account details: your first and last name, email address, username and profile photo. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email and photo from Google; we never see your Google password.
- Onboarding answers: your country or region and your interests; creators also tell us their creator type, main goal and top audience locations.
- Connected platforms: the Instagram, YouTube, TikTok or LinkedIn profile links you share, and what's public on those profiles. The Trust Center lists what each can see. To confirm a profile is yours, we check for the short code you add to its bio.
- What you create: your profile, memberships, bundles, posts, videos and files.
- Payments and payouts: payout account details, shown masked in Loop, and a record of every payment and payout. Card details are handled by our payment provider; Loop doesn't store them.
- Identity verification: creators verify their identity by submitting a government ID and a selfie through our verification flow. Loop receives the result, a reference for the check and, if it fails, the reason.
- Membership activity: which memberships and bundles you join or buy, your payments and receipts, and the reason you give if you cancel.
- Explore activity: the creators, memberships and bundles you save and browse.
- Comments and reports: comments you post, and any post or creator you report and why.
- Referral and campaign links: the link you signed up through, if any.
- Device and usage: how you use Loop, your device and browser, your notification settings and, if you turn on push notifications, a token to send them to your device.
- Waitlist: your name, email, creator type, main platform and handle.
How we use it
- To run Loop: accounts, profiles, memberships, bundles, payments and payouts.
- To show prices for where you are: members outside Nigeria may see a creator's US dollar price, based on the country they chose.
- To let Ree build your profile, draft tiers and bundles, suggest prices and write your Weekly Reports.
- To recommend creators, memberships and bundles on Explore, based on what you join, buy, save and browse and the interests you chose.
- To keep Loop safe: verifying creators, reviewing reports, preventing fraud and enforcing our Terms.
- To apply referral rewards and campaign offers, and to pay the partners who share campaign links.
- To help you when you contact support, and to reconcile failed payments and payouts.
- To send the email and push notifications you've chosen, such as new content and weekly reminders, and important account messages.
- To understand how Loop is used, from your activity in Loop, and make it better.
We use your data because Loop needs it to provide your account, membership, bundle or payout, because we have to keep certain payment and payout records, or because it keeps Loop safe and useful without overriding your rights. Account messages are part of the service. Other notifications are the ones you turn on, and you can turn them off.
Ree and AI
Ree uses your onboarding answers, connected-platform information and activity on Loop to make suggestions. It only interprets information available to Loop and doesn't invent facts about you.
Ree never generates your cover image. It picks one from a copyright-free image library, and you can replace it. Everything Ree drafts stays a draft until you publish it. Ree does not publish a profile, charge a member, or close an account by itself. Suggestions on Explore are recommendations in the same way.
What creators see about members
When you join a creator's membership or buy a bundle, that creator can see your name, email address, membership tier, the dates you joined or cancelled, your payment status and any cancellation reason you gave. They also see general audience information, such as where members are and how they found the profile. That creator may be in another country. They can use these details only to run the membership or bundle you joined.
How long we keep it
We keep your data while your account is open. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymise your personal data. We keep payment and payout records for at least six years after the year of assessment the income relates to, and for at least six years from the date the accounting record was made. We keep a record longer when a dispute, audit, or legal claim is still open.
Your choices and rights
- See, correct or download the personal data we hold about you.
- Choose which notifications you get and how, in Settings.
- Delete your account in Settings. Creators with active paying members need to wait until those memberships end.
- Ask us to delete or restrict your data, withdraw a permission you've given, or object where a use is not required to provide Loop or to meet a legal duty. Email support@loop.example.
- Complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission. If the law where you live lets you complain to a local authority, you can.
Security
We protect your data with access controls and encrypted connections, and we mask payout account details in Loop. No system is perfectly secure, so if you notice anything unusual, tell us straight away.
Where your data is handled
Loop is built for creators in Nigeria first, and members can join from anywhere. Payment and identity checks may be processed outside Nigeria. If you sign in with Google, that sign-in is processed on Google's servers around the world. We handle personal data in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023, and with the data protection law that applies where you live.
Children
Loop isn't for anyone under 18, and we don't knowingly collect data from children.
Changes and contact
We'll update this policy as Loop grows and tell you about important changes. Questions about your data? Email support@loop.example.
